How the crosses are made
Share
I'll never forget the first time I saw one of these crosses in Liza's home. She took it off the wall and handed it to me, and I was amazed—it was incredibly light! I was genuinely shocked when she explained it was 3D printed. Being in the tech industry, I'd heard of 3D printing but had never really been impressed until that moment.
Yet, the 3D printing is just half of what makes these crosses special. The real magic happens during the painting process. Initially, we purchased one printer, then another, and another, until we found ourselves with a fleet of seven printers. Each cross takes anywhere from 8 to 30 hours to print, depending on the size. However, if we simply sent them out right after printing, you'd probably not be very impressed.
That's when the real artistry begins: the painting! Each cross is meticulously hand-painted to look like genuine metal gears. We promise you—no one who sees these crosses and loves Jesus would ever guess they're made of plastic.
Every cross design is crafted by Liza herself and brought to life right here in our workshop. We maintain a robust inventory of crosses in all sizes, ensuring they're always ready for you. Additionally, we keep thousands of tiny crosses on hand, ready to be gifted at a moment's notice. With every order you place, you'll also receive a surprise batch of these tiny crosses to help you share the love of Christ.
